Our Story

Some ideas don't arrive all at once. They grow quietly—without a business plan, a deadline, or even the intention of becoming something bigger. Mine started with missing my dog, Teddy—a curious little Shihpoo with a personality far bigger than his size.

A few years ago, I moved into my own place. Everything about it felt exciting. It was my first home, a fresh start, and a space that was finally mine. But one thing hadn't made the move with me was Teddy. He was still back at my parents' house, living his best life—completely spoiled, endlessly happy, and blissfully unaware that anything had changed. I was the one who felt the difference.

For years, he'd been woven into my everyday life. The sound of paws following me from room to room. The greeting at the door after a long day. The comfort of never really being alone.

My new home wasn't empty. It just felt like someone important was missing. Whenever Teddy came to visit, everything changed. The house instantly felt warmer. More lived in. More like home. And every time he left, I caught myself wishing a little piece of him had stayed behind.

I started looking for something that could capture that feeling. Not something bright or cartoonish. Not something designed to stand out. I wanted something that belonged in a beautiful home—something elegant enough to fit naturally into any room, yet meaningful enough to quietly remind me of the companion who had always made every house feel complete.

One afternoon, I found myself staring at a simple wooden planter sitting on my table. It was beautiful enough, but it could have belonged in anyone's home. It didn't tell a story. It didn't mean anything. Then the thought hit me.

What if the planter itself was a paw print? That single idea became the beginning of PAWSCAPES. I sketched it, refined it, tested it, and eventually brought it to life in natural bamboo.

The Paw Planter wasn't created to be flashy. It was designed to quietly celebrate the pets who leave the biggest imprint on our lives. When I filled the very first one with white hydrangeas and eucalyptus and placed it on my table, something changed.

It was a simple moment. But somehow my house didn't just look finished anymore. It finally felt like home. As I shared the idea with friends and family, I noticed something. Everyone had a story. A dog waiting by the door. A cat curled up beside them every evening. The pet who had quietly been there through celebrations, heartbreaks, moves, milestones, and all the ordinary moments that somehow became unforgettable. That's when I realized this wasn't just my story. It's something so many of us share.

Our pets aren't just part of our homes. They're part of what makes those homes feel alive. PAWSCAPES began because I wanted one small reminder of my own dog.

Today, every piece we create—and all the ones still to come—is thoughtfully designed to celebrate the bond between people and the pets they love.

I never set out to start a business. I just wanted my dog to feel like he still belonged in my home. Turns out, I wasn't the only one looking for something like that.

Welcome to PAWSCAPES.

Created from one simple idea—to make home feel a little more like home.
